DKP

DKP List for members HERE

DKP (Dragon Kill Points) is a point’s based system which is used to aid loot distribution in dungeon raids. The system is designed to reward players that put a lot of time into the guild and to also allow casual players the opportunity to bid on/win loot.

Points will be awarded for: (note: Server Time will be known as ST from now on)

a) Being online in time for invites 20:00hrs ST, and being at the instance entrance at the start time 20:15 ST (Raid start bonus). This awards 2 DKP points.

b) Being online until the end of the raid 00:00ST (or untill the raid is called by an Officer running the raid) (Raid end bonus). This awards 2 DKP points. Occasionally we may decide to continue raiding beyond the raid end time. You will not loose raid end bonus if you cannot stay past the designated end time.

c) Killing raid bosses. Points will be awarded for killing a raid boss. The number of points awarded are mentioned at the bottom of this article. There will be a double DKP bonus for the 1st time downing of a boss.

If you are asked to leave a raid to make room for a class needed ie an extra healer, you’ll still receive the full amount of DKP earned by the raid (raid start, raid end and boss kill DKP) as long as you are online and available to retake your position if called for.

There will be a wiping bonus in effect for attempting new bosses of 10 DKP per hour.

We expect you to have ample gear/consumables to run raids. Once in the raid we will be checking to see who has used all of the required consumables (pots/flask/oils/food). If someone hasn’t brought something that will be needed for a certain fight then that person will be removed from the raid and no DKP will be earned.

We expect you to have a good knowledge of how your class operates in a raid situation, and a PvE talent build that compliments those situations (PvP builds are for PvPing – not PvE).

Spending Points and loot.

When an epic item drops, it has a fixed minimum value. All people who want the item will be told when to bid. The person in charge of the raid will have the final say over who can/can’t bid on an item. Bidding takes place in raid chat in minimum increases of 5DKP. The item will then be “Auctioned” to the highest bidder who will have the spent DKP deducted from his/her total. People can go into negative DKP up to -100 points; however once they are in negative they will not be able to be bid for another item till their DKP is positive again, unless all bidders are in negative DKP. People CAN go under -100 however, if they are prepared to minimum bid and no one else wants the item.

If 2 people bid at exactly the same amount and they do not want to raise their bid, they will roll for the item and the one that wins will have those points deducted.

DKP Points are only counted from the end of the last raid. They do not run in real time as you progress through an instance.

We operate a loot priority system. Classes that will benefit the most from items in a PVE raiding situation will have priority on said item. Tanks will have priority on tanking equipment. DPS warriors on DPS plate, rogues will take priority on DPS leather etc. There will be exceptions to these rules for the “hybrid” specced players. The hybrids may be granted priority to bid against the “stereotype” priority class at the discretion of the raid leader/guild officer.

If an item drops and the priority classes already have it, or don’t want it, then other classes will be free to bid for the item.

***ANYONE FOUND BUYING ITEMS WITH DKP FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING THEM (I.E BOE SET ITEMS, PATTERNS) WILL BE KICKED FROM THE GUILD***
